The prestigious Lexus NX takes its place in the middle of the luxury automaker's crossover SUV lineup. Sitting between the UX and the RX, the NX offers two rows of seating coupled with standout styling and exceptional performance capabilities. In 2026, the NX is available with both gas-powered and hybrid powertrain systems. What are the differences between the NX and the NX Hybrid?
Performance
The most notable differences between these options are found under the hood. The gas-powered NX 350 features a turbo 2.4-liter, four-cylinder unit that produces 275 horsepower.
The NX Hybrid is available in two configurations. The NX 350h carries a hybrid engine, and it gives you 240 horsepower. The NX 450h+ is a plug-in hybrid model that links a 2.5-liter gas engine with a pair of electric motors. It produces 304 horsepower and offers a 37-mile all-electric range.
Appearance
On the exterior, the NX and the NX Hybrid share a similar styling. This stunning crossover SUV showcases a dramatically curved profile with thick, defined lines rolling down the hood. The sides are poignantly sculpted for a powerful look. At the front, the drop-down, A-frame grille shows off a vertical mesh pattern. A bolt of LED lighting tops the triangular headlights. Below the headlights, the tall air inlets angle inward. The NX is available with up to 20-inch wheels, adaptive headlights, a sunroof, a power liftgate, and keyless entry. The NX Hybrid features these exterior elements, along with a panoramic glass roof and an onboard charger.
Features
You can appreciate many of the same standard and optional features in the NX and the NX Hybrid. Some of these are wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, front and rear parking sensors, auto braking, a 9.8-inch or 14-inch central display screen, a cloud-based navigation system, a dual-zone auto climate control system, adaptive cruise control, a heated steering wheel, a Mark Levinson sound system with 17 speakers, a wireless phone charger, a surround-view camera, and many additional features.
